Senior Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and launch strategic data mining solutions, driving business-wide innovation utilizing AI and analytical techniques at scale.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, encompassing design, testing, deployment, and operations, engage in technical discussions and strategy, and participate hands-on in design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
• Participate in the development of highly scalable platforms for extracting, analyzing, and processing large amounts of contextual data from a plethora of sources, both in real-time and in batch modes.
• Develop large-scale knowledge graphs through semantically linking information and datasets from across multiple product and technical domains.
• Uphold the highest standards of technical rigor in engineering and operational excellence, build highly resilient and scalable systems, and champion operational and process improvements.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Should be a graduate in mathematics/computer science or related discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in programming, with proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java.
• Experience working with Data Build tools, Data Pipelines, Snowflake and Kafka.
• Involved in Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Scala, Java, or similar languages, alongside Python (with Pandas/PySpark or similar).
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
• Work closely with data scientists to integrate and operationalize machine learning models within production pipelines.
• Deploy and manage data workloads on platforms like AWS EMR or Kubernetes for containerized data processing and orchestration.
• Expertise designing and implementing flexible, durable data models.
• Good to have exposure on observability tools for instance Datadog, Sentry, etc), with significant data modeling experience, data catalog experience, Terraform and related experience.
• Should be excellent in written and verbal communication.
