What you will do
Oversee the technology team, interview and select people, motivate and inspire the team and drive retention and employee engagement.
Provide software engineers constant feedback and prepare individual development plans to have team members prepared for succession or to occupy new seniority positions.
Ensure the quality of deliveries, prioritize initiatives oriented to metrics (eg reliability, code smells, technical debts, bugs), define quality strategy and quality techniques/frameworks (eg BDD, TDD, FDD , test automation), oversee the processes and controls of delivery flow at different discovery, development, testing, approval and implementation phases and ensure stability, performance and maintenance of organizational systems.
Ensure the efficiency of the teams through the use of metrics (availability, cloud cost, throughput, lead time, blockages), ensuring the balance of indicators according to the defined goals and raising the need for additional resources as needed.
Facilitate integration between product teams and other areas of the company focused on the client by defining responsibilities and agreements, and systematically optimizing workflow and communication.
What experience you need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 7–10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 1+ years in a people management/supervisory role overseeing engineering squads.
Proven experience leading the design and development of scalable solutions using Event-Driven architecture and RESTful APIs.
Strong experience with public cloud platforms—GCP or AWS preferred—alongside a solid understanding of CI/CD practices.
Experience collaborating with SRE teams to establish operational metrics (SLAs, SLOs, SLIs).
Demonstrated success in handling end-to-end HR responsibilities, including hiring, talent retention, performance management, and capacity planning.
What could set you apart
Possession of an associate or professional level Cloud Certification (GCP / AWS).
Experience driving legacy application modernization or cloud migration strategies.
Strong hands-on background in modern backend ecosystems (e.g., Modern JDK 17+, Spring Boot) OR modern front-end stacks.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
Prior experience working within the Financial Services or FinTech domain.
Technical Roadmap: Develop long-term technical visions and system designs within your domain. Participate in high-level architectural decision-making, including refactoring and End-of-Support-Life (EOSL) planning.
