Role Summary
Design, Develop, maintain test plan, test automation suites, system testbeds for the Firewall features. Enhance the existing Test suite & automation for better coverage & quality as part of Continuous Improvements. Be an integral part of the feature scrum team and participate in new feature Test Cycles, improve existing features as part of Maintenance Releases. This role also encompasses reviewing Unit Test Plan, development & review of Component test plan Component test automation and End-to-End (E2E) Test plan & automation.
Firewall feature teams work on providing new features related to Networking & Security & maintaining the features. Authentication & Authorization, Static/Multicast/Dynamic & SDWAN Routing, VPN Connections, Web Application Firewall (WAF), IPS, NDR to name a few. On security front, feature teams provide functionality to protect Customer Environments from DoS, DDoS, Spoofing, Malware & Intrusions by continuously updating the threat patterns & feeds
What you will do
- Development of Component & E2E Test plans and Test Strategies.
- Experience designing and executing test cases based on high-level requirements or use cases
- Report Defects for test failures and drive it to closure.
- Ability to learn and understand complex systems and technical issues
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to focus and drive tasks to completion
- Devotion to producing high quality, high performance systems
- Keen troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
What you will bring
- 1 to 3 years of total working experience
- 1 or more years of hands on experience in automation testing for Networking / Network Security domain.
- Must have knowledge/working experience in Test automation development using Python/Robot/Perl script.
- Must have experience in understanding RESTful Architecture, understanding REST API specification (OpenAPI spec preferably), designing & automating REST API testplan.
- Knowledge of Robot Test Framework is desirable.
- Understanding of Relational Databases, SQL Queries and experience in using the same with automation scripting.
- Linux Operating System understanding – Processes, Memory management, Filesystem & Shell commands are desirable.
- Understanding of container technology, orchestration & container process, shared memory, networking will be added advantage.
- Understanding of DevOps pipelines, GitHub actions, Jenkins & CICD methodologies is added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Hashing, Encryption, Sessions, Tokens & supporting technologies will be a plus.
- Solid Debugging skills – to read/understand & corelate logs, events & other indicators to isolate problems. Nice to have exposure to Core Dump Analysis.
- Experience with the Agile Methodology and continuous integration (i.e., nightly build and release) is a plus.
