Software Test Engineer- (Playwright)

Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable automated test scripts using Playwright with Java and TestNG.
• Conduct comprehensive API testing and validation using Postman.
• Organize and track testing efforts using TestRail or qTest.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies, ensuring quality is integrated into the SDLC.
• Partner closely with developers to debug issues, reproduce bugs, and verify fixes.
• Utilize Copilot and Copilot Agents to assist in writing test code, generating documentation, and optimizing workflows.
• Manage test code repositories using GitHub, demonstrating proficiency with Git commands (branching, merging, pull requests).
• Write and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and perform back‑end testing.
   

The Essentials – You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright (Java binding).
• Proficiency with TestNG for test execution, reporting, and assertions.
• Experience in manual testing and transitioning test cases into automated scripts.
• Strong familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and Confluence for documentation.
• Solid understanding of GitHub workflows and command‑line operations.
• Experience testing RESTful services using Postman.
• Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOINs, WHERE clauses).
• Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI agents to increase productivity.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Experience testing web, mobile, or cloud‑based applications.
• ISTQB or other QA certifications.
