What You’ll Be Doing:

Overview: Evolent Health is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join our technology team. This individual will play a critical role in executing our mission by managing data-driven activities related to data profiling, data discovery and analysis, requirements definition, testing, and continuous improvement of data collection, mapping, analysis, and transformation processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and validate the data content of files to be ingested, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business needs.
  • Develop and implement data validation and quality control processes.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data analysis and ingestion processes.
  • Generate reports and provide insights based on data analysis.
  • Lead and mentor junior data analysts.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data analysis and management processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and data management.
  • Proficiency in SAS and SQL data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data and healthcare payer systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience in leading data-related projects and mentoring junior analysts.
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience in project management and leading data-related projects.

Mandatory Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
