- About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and supporting multi‑tier enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Java 11, Spring Boot, cloud‑native principles, and modern development practices. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, technical depth, and the ability to work independently in fast‑paced agile environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain multi‑tier Java-based applications.
- Work with Java 11, Spring Boot, Couchbase, Apache Storm, and related backend technologies.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with strong adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and performance issues.
- Participate in system design discussions and apply appropriate design patterns.
- Refactor existing code to meet new requirements and improve overall code quality.
- Develop and maintain microservices and REST-based integrations.
- Ensure all enhancements are delivered as bug‑free, high‑quality code into INTG / SIT environments.
- Write 100% JUnit test coverage for all new features and enhancements.
- Support end‑to‑end phases of SDLC — analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Work independently as an individual contributor and collaborate effectively in agile teams.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience in Java backend development (up to 8 years preferred).
- Strong expertise in:
- Java 11
- Spring Boot & Spring modules
- Servlets, JDBC
- Collections, Multithreading, Exception handling, OOPs
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Java-based enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Couchbase, Apache Storm, and distributed processing systems.
- Experience with Docker or other containerization frameworks.
- Strong understanding of microservices, REST, SOAP, JSON, HTTP technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Tomcat or similar application servers.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and TDD.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments and manage changing priorities.
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures or cloud platforms.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with profiling tools for performance tuning.
