The Staff Solutions Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert on Tarana’s products, ensuring successful customer pilot executions. The role involves collaborating with various internal teams, presenting to customers, participating in product design discussions, managing complex technical issues, and mentoring team members.

We are looking for a high-energy, self-starter individual to join our Solutions Engineering team. The ideal candidate has a solid knowledge of wireless communications and has both technical and customer facing background. In this role, you will be interfacing with both internal teams as well as with our customers. Job Responsibilities and Skills:
- Become a subject matter expert on Tarana’s product and service solutions
- Ensure successful execution of customer pilots and guide the network operators to implement large scale fixed-wireless deployments
- Work with engineering, sales as well as third party vendors to design, implement and support turn-key solutions
- Give customer presentations and support sales and marketing activities across a variety of wireless operator customers
- Participate in feature design and product development discussions to evaluate design choices, tradeoffs as well as manage priorities across all aspects of the G1 platform
- Work cross-functionally across teams to deliver a wide range of deliverables that include proof of concepts, end-to-end solutions, feature requirements
- Mentor team members and provide guidance in technical and non-technical areas
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and help develop short-term workarounds and long-term solutions
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other scientific discipline is a must
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in technical roles such as development, applications engineering, systems integration and testing
- Minimum of 3 years of customer facing experience in field applications, support, pre-sales or similar roles
- In depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas is a must
- OFDM based wireless systems like LTE or Wi-Fi
- IP routing/switching, L2/L3 networking protocols
- Strong project management skills to triage technical issues and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving them to a successful resolution
- Should have experience in leading projects and/or test efforts
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly Preferred Skills:
- Experience with working with telecom operators is a plus
- Experience with network management systems is a plus
- In depth knowledge of PHY/MAC layers for wireless systems is a plus
- Experience with cloud architecture and cloud hosted applications is a plus
- Experience leading teams is a plus
