The Systems Engineer performs IT functions such as designing, analyzing, evaluating, testing, debugging, and implementing applications programs supporting Greenway’s infrastructure business processes, operations, and/or network-based (Cloud) product systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies, and supports operating systems, database or utilities software.
· Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.
· Analyzes, designs, acquires, and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems.
· Plans, designs, acquires, and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems.
· Research solutions involving new 3rd party components
· Script solutions using PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, or other scripting tools
· Configure monitoring.
· Install Windows OS using good principles
· Monitor Windows OS using performance monitor and event manager, as well as 3rd party monitoring tools
· Deploy patches to Windows OS
· Be proficient with networking concepts (TCP/IP ip addressing, ports, routing, bandwidth, latency)
· Install and upgrade Greenway-developed software for end-user use
· Install and upgrade 3rd party components required by Greenway-developed software
· Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions for larger issues
· Respond to 2nd-tier trouble tickets, and follow-through to completion or escalate as required
· Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot server hardware solutions.
· May participate in other projects or be assigned tasks or duties as required.
Education and Experience· High School Diploma/GED
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or related field.
o Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT
· Experience in Healthcare IT very helpful

Work Environment/Physical Demands· While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
· This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of the workday
· This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
· The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
