The Technical Product Manager at Rubiscape
acts as the primary bridge between product strategy and engineering execution,
ensuring that complex platform capabilities are specified with the precision
and depth that high-velocity squads require. You will write the most
technically demanding PRDs on the team — covering areas like the RubiFlow
streaming ingestion engine, RubiSight query execution layer, and the Business
Workbench composable workspace runtime. Unlike a traditional PM, you are
expected to prototype in SQL or Python, review API contracts, and participate
meaningfully in architecture design reviews. This role is ideal for a software
engineer or solutions architect who has discovered a passion for defining what
gets built rather than building it.
· Translate
high-level product strategy into implementation-ready technical specifications:
API contracts (OpenAPI), data schemas, state machine diagrams, and edge-case
matrices.
· Collaborate
daily with engineering leads and architects during sprint planning, design
reviews, and code reviews to ensure fidelity between spec and implementation.
· Own the
developer experience roadmap: SDKs, CLI tools, webhooks, embedding APIs, and
the Rubiscape developer portal — ensuring ISV and OEM partners can integrate in
days, not months.
· Prototype
proof-of-concept solutions using platform APIs, SQL, or Python notebooks to
validate feasibility before committing engineering resources to full-scale
development.
· Manage
technical dependencies across studio teams; identify integration risks early
and escalate blockers with proposed mitigations rather than just status
updates.
· Maintain
the technical components of the product wiki: architecture decision records
(ADRs), API changelogs, and known-limitation registers that keep customer
success and sales informed.
· Lead
technical scoping calls with enterprise customers and system integrators,
translating bespoke requirements into platform-native solutions or prioritised
roadmap items.
· Prior
software engineering experience at a data infrastructure, analytics, or AI/ML
company.
· Hands-on
familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm charts, or Terraform — understanding
deployment complexity from an operator’s perspective.
· Open-source
contributions or published technical writing that demonstrates depth in data
engineering or platform architecture.
Rubiscape is India’s leading Decision
Intelligence Platform, unifying data engineering, BI, machine learning, and
agentic AI in a single governed platform. Built in Pune and trusted by Fortune
500 enterprises across BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, and government. 8
international innovation patents. 10 Industry-Academia Labs & COEs. From BI
to AI — One Platform. Every Decision.
RequirementsRequirements
· 3–6 years
of experience in technical product management, software engineering, or
solutions architecture within enterprise SaaS or data platform companies.
· Proficiency
reading and writing API specifications (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) and a working
knowledge of at least one backend language (Python, Java, Go, or Scala).
· Solid
understanding of distributed data systems: streaming (Kafka, Flink), batch
processing (Spark, dbt), columnar storage (Parquet, Delta Lake), and
cloud-native query engines.
· Experience
writing technical PRDs or design docs that engineering teams consume directly,
with measurable improvements in sprint velocity or reduced re-work.
· Strong SQL
skills and comfort with data profiling, query plan analysis, and performance
debugging as part of feature validation.
