Vice President, Credit Products

Overview
The VP, Credit Product Management, will lead the development, management, and execution of the consumer credit product line strategy (PLS) globally. This role will require in-depth knowledge and focus on key consumer segment needs and aspirations as well as key issuer priorities and competitive considerations to continuously enhance and optimize consumer credit product line strategy and consumer value propositions (CVP). As part of the PLS execution, this role will also play an integral part in overseeing the overall performance of the consumer credit business, informing the commercialization strategies and activities, and informing the agenda for new products and CVP development working with internal stakeholders.
Role
• Define, design, develop, and continuously enhance global credit product line strategy, including co-brand, and framework for all consumer segments, with customer (issuer) and consumer centricity.
• Identify and lead relevant research that informs both the current and future credit products at a global, regional, or country level that will enhance existing product lines.
• Lead the development of differentiated value propositions to meet the current and emerging needs of consumers and customers; identify critical internal and external benefits and platforms that will be required to fulfill the end value proposition, including the definition of a Minimum Viable Product.
• Lead the core product foundation work including but not limited to product requirements and standards, pricing & interchange strategies, product operations, and business performance management.
• Partner and support the regions in refining and executing credit product strategies in key strategic markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners within Mastercard to ensure continuous portfolio optimization and growth strategies are in place to generate incremental spend uplift and revenue opportunities for Mastercard.
• Partner with the regional product teams to execute against the global PLS/credit product strategy, including but not limited to ensuring ongoing CVP modernization/optimization, providing PLS toolkits, and more.
• Present key insights to internal and external stakeholders including industry forums, customer meetings, and media engagements. Understand and help regions leverage such insights as well as global practice around product positioning and insights.
• Partner with the marketing and communication team to develop a strong internal and external narrative globally to support the region and markets to advance the downstream marketing and sales activities.
• Support commercialization and GTM account teams to win high-priority deals and manage critical customer engagements by developing and delivering competitive product responses in collaboration with regional and functional stakeholders (e.g., CSCs).
• Advise and support sales by recommending and influencing product pricing and overseeing the development of training and other product support materials for Credit products.
About You
• 10+ years of experience in consumer product management (preferably credit, including cobrand) in payments or financial services industry
• Excellent strategic thinking, execution management, and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage requests and inputs from senior executive stakeholders
• Well organized – able to prioritize projects with a sense of urgency
• Able to navigate a matrix organization and interact with people at all levels, countries, teams and cultures at Mastercard
• Agile and able to flex with shifting priorities
• Experience in travel, entertainment and/or culinary industry is a plus.
