This role focuses on overseeing the digital presence and online sales platform for the Loozeele Initiative, specifically supporting products created by Kayayei participants. The primary objective is to enhance the user experience on the e-commerce website while driving sales through strategic digital marketing. This position serves as a vital link between the organization's mission and its online revenue streams, ensuring that product representations are accurate and compelling while leveraging data to guide business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of the organization's e-commerce site to guarantee a smooth and intuitive shopping journey for customers.
- Curate and update product catalogs, including descriptions and imagery, to accurately and attractively showcase items made by Kayayei artisans.
- Partner with communications and marketing departments to roll out digital strategies that increase traffic to the online store.
- Design and launch promotional initiatives, such as sales events and discount codes, to stimulate purchase activity.
- Employ analytical tools to monitor site performance, track user engagement, and measure sales figures.
- Produce periodic performance reports and apply data-driven insights to optimize e-commerce operations.
- Coordinate with vocational training and educational teams to ensure the platform correctly reflects product details and organizational initiatives.
- Engage with internal partners to align online sales efforts with the broader goals and mission of the Loozeele Initiative.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in E-commerce, Marketing, Business, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate a track record of managing online retail platforms, with preferred experience in non-profit or socially responsible sectors.
- Possess working knowledge of e-commerce systems and software, such as Shopify or WooCommerce.
- Exhibit a solid grasp of digital marketing principles and online promotional tactics.
- Display strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
