Develop, maintain, and support the enterprise MDM platform across customer, supplier, contact, and item domains. Implement new MDM features, build data integration/ETL solutions, write and optimize complex SQL, produce high-quality code and tests, triage incidents to meet SLAs, support data migrations and profiling, and follow SDLC/Agile processes, security, and SOX compliance while documenting changes.
Position Overview
The Associate Integration Developer supports the development, testing, deployment, and operations of integrations between the MDM platform and enterprise systems. This role combines integration development with DevOps responsibilities including CI/CD pipeline management, deployment automation, environment management, and monitoring. Builds foundational integration and DevOps skills through hands-on work under guidance from senior developers.
Integration Development & Enhancement- Develop and configure ETL/ELT pipelines under guidance from senior developers
- Build API-based integrations per design specifications
- Implement event-driven integrations per established patterns
- Configure and maintain scheduled jobs per established patterns
- Implement data mapping and transformation logic per specifications
- Implement error handling and retry patterns per established designs
- Assist with new data source onboarding and connectivity testing
- Attend design discussions and document integration decisions
- Support workflow configuration and testing
- Execute assigned enhancement tasks
- Support integration modernization testing, connectivity validation, and documentation
- Assist with testing new integration patterns and validating data flow
- Test and validate region-specific data flows and flag discrepancies
- Run data validation scripts and document results during modernization
- Execute regression test cases and document results
- Triage incoming integration incidents, perform initial investigation, and escalate when needed
- Trace data through integration flows to identify obvious failure points
- Review logs to gather initial diagnostic information for escalation
- Fix straightforward defects: connectivity issues, job failures, data format errors
- Monitor scheduled jobs, flag failures, and restart jobs per runbook procedures
- Document incident patterns and maintain integration runbooks
- Communicate issue status to team members and update tickets in ServiceNow
- Run reconciliation scripts and flag discrepancies
- Maintain incident logs and knowledge base articles
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipeline configurations for integration and MDM deployments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Manage deployment processes and environment promotions across dev, test, staging, and production
- Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, and notification channels (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk)
- Execute post-production validation checks and support rollback execution
- Support DR testing execution, validate recovery of integration jobs, and document results
- Maintain environment configurations, manage secrets, and ensure connection parameters are consistent across environments
- Manage infrastructure-as-code and environment provisioning scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Implement and maintain automated health checks and self-healing mechanisms for integration jobs
- Execute regression test cases for integration pipelines and document results
- Support performance testing execution and data collection
- Submit code for review and address feedback promptly
- Write clean code following established standards and patterns
- Flag technical debt encountered during development
- Basic understanding of data security, information security, and SOX compliance; follows established procedures
- 4+ years experience with data integration tools or ETL/ELT development (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory)
- 4+ years SQL experience — queries, joins, stored procedures, data validation (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- 3+ years hands-on coding — write and debug code (e.g., Java, Python, PL/SQL, shell scripting)
- 2+ years experience with API development (REST, SOAP)
- 2+ years exposure to messaging platforms or event-driven concepts (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ)
- 2+ years experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M, Apache Airflow, cron)
- 3+ years hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform)
- 2+ years experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch)
- 2+ years experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and environment management (e.g., AWS, Azure, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- 2+ years experience using ticketing systems for incident tracking (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Basic understanding of MDM concepts and how integrations feed/consume MDM data
- Working knowledge of SDLC: development, testing, CI/CD, change management, deployment processes
- Manufacturing or supply chain exposure
- Informatica or Reltio platform exposure
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration concepts
- Experience with iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato, Boomi, Celigo)
- Familiarity with data lake concepts and cloud storage (e.g., S3, Snowflake)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
