Application Development & Support Specialist

Position Overview 

The Associate MDM Developer supports the development, testing, and operations of the MDM platform under guidance from senior team members. Builds foundational MDM skills through hands-on work on platform configuration, testing, data operations, and incident triage. Expected to grow into an independent contributor within 12–18 months. 

Platform Development & Enhancement 

• Develop and configure MDM platform features under guidance from senior developers 

• Configure basic match/merge rules and test survivorship logic 

• Support hierarchy data loading and validation 

• Configure basic stewardship tasks and workflow steps 

• Support testing of region-specific configurations and validate regional data accuracy 

• Assist with data mapping documentation and source-to-target validation 

• Support data migration testing and validation 

• Execute assigned enhancement tasks 

• Attend design discussions and document decisions 

Platform Modernization 

• Support modernization testing, data validation, and documentation 

• Validate data mapping accuracy through testing during modernization 

• Run regression scripts and document results 

Production Support, Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution 

• Triage incoming incidents, perform initial investigation, and escalate when needed 

• Investigate and resolve straightforward data issues using established runbooks 

• Review logs to gather initial diagnostic information for escalation 

• Document incident patterns and maintain runbook updates 

• Trace data through basic flows to identify obvious failure points 

• Fix straightforward defects flagged in testing or production 

• Monitor data sync jobs and flag anomalies 

• Communicate issue status to team members and update tickets in ServiceNow 

• Maintain incident logs and knowledge base articles 

Testing & Quality 

• Execute regression test cases and document results 

• Support SIT execution and defect logging 

• Submit code for review and address feedback promptly 

• Write clean code following established standards and patterns 

• Flag technical debt encountered during development 

• Execute deployments using established CI/CD processes 

• Assist with post-production validation checks 

• Support DR testing execution and document results 

Security & Compliance 

• Basic understanding of data security, information security, and SOX compliance; follows established procedures 

Required Qualifications 

• 2+ years MDM platform or data management experience (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDM, Semarchy, Profisee) 

• 2+ years SQL experience — queries, joins, data validation (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) 

• 2+ years hands-on coding — write and debug code with guidance (e.g., Java, Python, PL/SQL, shell scripting) 

• 1+ years exposure to MDM concepts: match/merge, survivorship, hierarchies 

• 1+ years exposure to data migration processes and testing 

• 1+ years experience or training with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, MuleSoft) 

• 1+ years familiarity with CI/CD concepts and deployment processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) 

• Familiarity with log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, CloudWatch) 

• 1+ years experience using ticketing systems for incident tracking (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) 

• Experience or coursework in at least 1 MDM domain 

• Working knowledge of SDLC: development, testing, CI/CD basics, change management 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Exposure to more than one MDM domain 

• Manufacturing or supply chain exposure 

• Informatica MDM or Reltio certification or training 

• Basic understanding of APIs and integration patterns 

• Interest in AI/ML and data quality automation 

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts
