Your Impact

As a Network Consulting Engineer – SD-WAN, You will design scalable Enterprise Networking architectures that support customer business and technology goals. Analyze and resolve complex networking and design challenges, providing high-level technical and crisis management support. Serve as a technical specialist for complex deployments and provide technical leadership to project teams. Identify skills and capability gaps and develop programs to address them. Partner with Professional Services NCEs and cross-functional teams to optimize resources and deliver strong customer outcomes. Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization to improve delivery quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Architecture, Advisory, Implementation, Migration, and Optimization services across Enterprise Networking, including Routing and Switching, SD-WAN, and Cisco DNA technologies.

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to teams delivering Consulting Services and Technical Support during customer projects.

  • Develop customer deliverables, including architecture and design documents, migration plans, Methods of Procedure (MoPs), test plans, and campus network best-practice recommendations.

  • Lead and facilitate technical and design workshops and provide consulting guidance to customers throughout project delivery.

  • Collaborate with customers, SMEs, project managers, account teams, Product and Services Sales, and Systems and Consulting Engineers to develop effective solutions.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that support their business outcomes.

  • Apply automation and innovative approaches to improve processes, productivity, and service delivery.

  • Demonstrate technical thought leadership in solving complex customer challenges and contribute to continuous improvement across the practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS, BE, BTech, or equivalent degree with 8+ years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching (R&S) technologies/relevant IT industry experience. Experience with Cisco competitor technologies is a plus.

  • CCNP Enterprise certification with Enterprise Infrastructure specialization. CCNA or CCNA Automation certification is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of IP internetworking, LAN switching, SD-WAN, Cisco DNA, WAN protocols, and IP routing protocols, including IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

  • Strong programming and scripting skills, with the ability to use AI tools to automate and improve network delivery processes.

  • Knowledge or certification in ITIL, TOGAF, or ISO, along with an understanding of quality systems and industry standards.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise branch and campus network design, integration, and implementation, including Cisco Catalyst switches and ISR WAN routers.

  • Experience leading technical teams or customer projects, with accountability for successful delivery and customer outcomes.

  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to manage complex customer situations effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on Enterprise product lines like 2900, Cat 3600, 3800, 4500, 6500 ASR1K, 7200, ISR 4400, Cat9K, Cat 8500, & Cisco SDWAN Solution.

  • Experience Implementing /Supporting Layer 2 & Layer 3 implementation of campus network comprising Cisco Cat 9k, Cat 8500, ISR4k, and SDWAN will be key.

  • Experience with designing L2 and L3 vlans along with network segmentation on above Cisco platforms will be desirable.

  • Working knowledge and experience of VLANs, VXLANs, WAN, OSPF, ISIS, QoS, IPv6, Multicast is a must.

  • Deep Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches. Typical Deliverables includes but not limited to- customer audits, config translations & features; Automated/Scripted discovery audit & data validation of connected/end devices; Creating MoP’s, Optional Lab testing / validation services for service/feature interop and executing Migration windows in production environment.

  • Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with the proven ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels.

  • Good technical writing skills in Microsoft Word & Excel and have experience in writing high test and implementation / Migration plans.

  • Skills and experience in working independently, determining methods and procedures.
