Your Impact

As a Consulting Engineer, you will support the design and deployment of robust Service Provider solutions that drive key business outcomes.

You will assist in the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, helping to translate customer requirements into scalable architectures under the guidance of senior team members.

By partnering with Senior Engineers, you will contribute to deployment, migration, and optimization of robust service provider for strategic customers. Create customer-facing documentation, migration plans, and implementation plans aligned to CX standards; build complex test environments to validate designs.

You will provide essential technical assistance to support the resolution of network issues and contribute to the team by documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and supporting the development of repeatable delivery frameworks to enhance overall practice efficiency. 

Minimum Qualifications:   

• Requires BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in a similar job role.
• Any Service Provider related certification (CCNA/CCNP) is helpful and you have a drive for continuous learning.
• Knowledge of DWDM, OTN (G.709), SONET/SDH, and optical transport fundamentals.
• Knowledge and basic Hands-on experience with Cisco Optical platforms such as NCS1010, NCS1014, NCS1004, NCS4000 and NCS2000 series.
• Basic Understanding on coherent optics, modulation formats (QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM), FEC, and flex-grid concepts.
• Good understanding with ROADM architectures (CDC-F), amplifier design, and protection schemes (OLP, OCH, OMS).
• Good understanding on optical test equipment: OTDR, OSA, power meters, optical loopbacks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of relevant Cisco technologies and delivery methods and builds skills in articulating technical concepts.
• Foundational consulting and collaboration skills 

• Knowledge of software programmability, automation (Python, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform and so on), orchestration, and/or virtualization technologies
• Leverages AI and automation to enhance delivery efficiency, innovation and customer outcomes, while also increasing personal productivity and focus on high-impact work
