Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a results-driven DevOps Engineer experience to design, implement, and optimize scalable DevOps solutions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to bridge development, operations, and quality assurance, delivering reliable cloud-native deployments across mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain-enabled projects. The successful candidate will drive automation, improve release velocity, ensure build and deployment quality, and contribute to sustainable, secure, and efficient software delivery that aligns with business objectives.
Software Requirements
Essential
Strong understanding of multiple technology platforms, including mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain, and their impact on deployment, monitoring, and scale.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, including how DevOps practices integrate into these lifecycles.
Proficiency with one or more programming languages commonly used in DevOps and automation (e.g., Java, Python, or Node.js) as part of scripting and tooling support.
Experience with Agile/ Scrum practices and modern collaboration tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Confluence) as part of product delivery and team workflows.
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code practices.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Exposure to security-conscious development, including secure CI/CD, access management, and compliance considerations.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response in cloud or distributed environments.

Overall Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design scalable, reliable DevOps solutions that meet business objectives.
Develop technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features, deployments, and infrastructure enhancements.
Stay current with the latest technology trends in DevOps, cloud, and related platforms; identify opportunities to incorporate improvements into existing solutions.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to the maintainability, scalability, and quality of the codebase and deployment pipelines.
Resolve technical issues, provide tiered support to team members, and ensure rapid incident response and recovery.
Work closely with the testing team to ensure automation, tested deployments, and quality standards are met.
Promote sustainable and efficient practices in deployments, including cost-conscious cloud usage and energy-efficient architectures where applicable.

Gather and analyze business requirements; design and implement DevOps solutions to meet those requirements
Write, test, and deploy software solutions; create and maintain automation scripts and pipelines

Provide technical support to team members; troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Certifications (preferred but not required): Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes or DevOps-related credentials
Training: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices
Equivalency: Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal degrees
