Bring your energy to Aggreko as Electrical Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for leading and managing Electrical Engineering resources within Product Engineering to deliver complex design solutions for distribution and generator products. This role provides functional management, sets design standards, ensures engineering governance, and drives capability development within the team.

What you’ll do:
Lead Electrical Design for Generator Products: Accountable for comprehensive electrical design solutions, including controls architecture, protection systems, and power distribution for generator products.
Manage Electrical Design Function & Resources: Coordinate resources, manage technical competency frameworks, ensure knowledge transfer, and maintain technical expertise within the Electrical Engineering team.
Establish Engineering Governance & Standards: Develop and implement management processes to ensure all electrical deliverables adhere to sound engineering practice and comply with relevant standards and legislation.
Drive Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and promote operating efficiencies through the continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes, maximizing benefits across all functions.
Provide Technical Leadership & Issue Resolution: Offer technical leadership and governance for New Product Development (NPD), and serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical issues.
Foster Talent Development & Succession Planning: Mentor aspiring talent, establish clear career development opportunities, and ensure robust succession planning within the Electrical Engineering function.
You are:
Chartered Engineering & Management Experience: Chartered Electrical or Controls Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' professional experience in a management role, specifically within the Powergen industry.
Deep Technical Expertise: Excellent understanding of EPlan application, product and application design within a multi-disciplinary power generation environment, and generator electrical/controls design standards.
Proven Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to manage, inspire, and motivate teams, coupled with effective communication skills at a senior business level.
Commercial Acumen & Strategic Insight: Acute commercial understanding and customer focus, with experience in product development leadership within commercially demanding environments.
Delivery & Adaptability: Ability to work to tight timescales, under pressure, and maintain high quality, while demonstrating flexibility to meet fluctuating workloads and respond to new challenges.
