Job Description
We’re looking for a Java Developer to build high performance, cloud native systems. This role blends strong backend engineering with Java/Spring, and modern DevOps practices across Azure.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
Java 17, Microservices, Azure (Key vault, SPN, Azure CLI, Data Lake
Optional Skills (Good to have)
Databricks, PLSQL
Responsibilities:
- Develop Java/Spring Boot based backend applications.
- Design and deploy cloud native applications on Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, safe releases across environments.
- Work closely with product owner/team members and cross-functional teams to deliver low latency, high reliability solutions.
- Contribute to IaC and cloud automation- Terraform experience is a plus.
Primary skills:
- Java: Proficiency with Java programming, Java 11 or above
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with at least 2 years in microservices architecture.
- Spring/Spring boot: Has already built a spring boot or similar application
- SQL/DB: Able to write optimized queries
- Hibernate: JPA Patterns with Spring
- Linux/Unix: basic Unix commands, OS awareness
- Cloud: Basic awareness of any public cloud preferably Azure
- Docker/Kubernetes: Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, AKS preferably
- Tools: Gitlab, CICD, IntelliJ, VS Code etc.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
Secondary skills
- Ready to work from office (3 days/week)
- AKS: Knows the AKS architecture and the best practices
- Helm: Can create helm charts based on best practices
- Terraform: Have good knowledge to provision Application infrastructure
- Other Languages: Shell Scripting, Python
- UI Tech/Framework: Good knowledge of any UI technology preferably Node/React JS
