- Job Description
We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong hands‑on experience in building and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in core Java, Spring framework, and backend technologies, along with strong exposure to Agile development practices and quality‑driven delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java‑based backend applications with high performance and scalability.
- Develop backend components using Java, Servlets, JDBC, and Spring framework modules.
- Build and consume RESTful and SOAP web services following microservices architecture principles.
- Apply core Java concepts including OOPS, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and static constructs effectively.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high‑quality bug‑free code suitable for INTG / SIT environments.
- Refactor existing code to align with new business and technical requirements.
- Apply appropriate design patterns based on design discussions and architectural guidelines.
- Develop 100% JUnit test cases for all new and modified functionalities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in Java‑based applications across environments.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced Agile environment.
- 5 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Core Java (OOPS, Collections, Multithreading)
- Exception Handling, Static blocks/variables/classes
- JDBC and database connectivity
- In‑depth experience with Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Boot preferred).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON.
- Good working knowledge of application servers / web servers (Tomcat).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and practices like TDD.
- Strong hands‑on experience in unit testing using JUnit.
- Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Strong commitment to code quality and best practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in client‑facing delivery teams is a plus.
