We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to join our Digital AgTech team based in Pune. In this role, you will lead the technical direction of one or more product modules - owning the architecture across scalable backend systems and responsive frontend interfaces - and helping deliver cutting-edge digital agriculture solutions. You'll be working with a collaborative team that values innovation, clean architecture, and high-impact product development aimed at transforming global agriculture.
This role is ideal for a seasoned full-stack engineer with deep backend expertise in Python, strong modern frontend skills (ReactJS), a solid production background in cloud-native development on AWS, and a passion for architecting scalable, operationally ready products. You'll play a critical role in setting up the technical bar, leading design discussions, mentoring engineers, and the modernization of existing systems.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong leadership and architectural judgment, deep proficiency in at least one modern back-end language and modern frontend technologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to anticipate risks and frame remedial actions early, and proven experience leading engineers through complex deliveries.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment which needs great technical, communication, and documentation skills. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, thoughtful design, and quality of product is essential.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable full-stack applications, owning technical decisions and product roadmaps.
- Drive end-to-end feature ownership from design and development to deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, API design, automated testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, security, and operational best practices.
- Mentor engineers, lead Agile ceremonies, resolve complex technical issues, and influence organization-wide technical strategy and standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development, including at least 2+ years in a tech lead or senior IC role driving architectural decisions.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language and ecosystem:
Python with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
Solid working knowledge of ReactJs and modern frontend development - TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, modular component architecture.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong fundamentals in RESTful API design, system design, and distributed systems patterns.
5+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Aurora, MySQL, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, DocumentDB, MongoDB), including schema design, query optimization, and operational ownership.
3+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and championing their adoption across teams.
Strong working knowledge of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture, including production experience with messaging systems (SQS, SNS, Kafka).
