Leadership & People Management:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Program Buyers
- Act as first escalation level and sparring partner for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Program Oversight:
- Serve as the purchasing lead in all relevant project meetings, including management board reviews.
- Drive acquisition projects and represent purchasing in cross-functional SE/Core Teams.
- Ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with program and corporate objectives.
- Oversee and support cost down activities during launch phases.
- Moderate and lead/coordinate the Sourcing Council committee
- Operational Excellence:
- Manage execution of all sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and nominations.
- Monitor BOM cost development and ensure that team members take care of the implementation of any changes to purchased parts (time, cost, quality).
- Support the quote process and prescreen customer inquiries in collaboration with the RFQ team.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, reporting tools, and KPI dashboards.
- Drive Process enhancements, implement lessons learned as well as best practice activities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Interface/Escalation to Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Finance to ensure aligned program execution.
- Lead purchasing optimization initiatives and support process transformation
- Collaborate with global purchasing teams to harmonize tools and best practices.
- Supplier & Market Engagement:
- Strenghten and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Identify sourcing opportunities and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and support the development of a resilient supply chain.
- Bachelor's Degree required with a business or technical emphasis
- • Strategic and solution-oriented thinker and implementer of effective tactical plans
- • Leading competences and proven experience in managing complex projects• 3-5 years of experience in similar positions including leader functions, relevant experience within the automotive industry preferred• Excellent skills and experience in leading teams• Ability to understand global footprints and their interfaces, find synergies cross continent and have a vision of the "Big picture"• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel)• Business Fluent in English language• Communication and teamwork skills, negotiation skills, and persuasiveness.• Very good knowledge of development processes in the automotive environment• Experience in managing employees. Strong problem-solving abilities, a high sense of quality, and confident demeanor when dealing with customers and suppliers.• Willingness to travel (approx. 20-25% domestic and international)
