Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled Postilion Implementation Specialist with strong experience in electronic payments, card transaction processing, and switch systems. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting ACI Postilion solutions for ATM, POS, and online transactions.
Job Accountabilities/Essential Functions Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end implementation of Postilion switch (ATM/POS acquiring & issuing)
- Gather and document business requirements (BRD, SRS) for payment systems
- Configure Postilion components:
- Transaction routing
- Message parsing & formatting (ISO 8583)
- Device handlers (ATM/POS)
- Integrate Postilion with:
- Core Banking Systems
- Card Management Systems (CMS)
- External networks like Visa Inc. and Mastercard
- Work on:
- Key exchange & encryption (DUKPT, PIN translation)
- Transaction life cycle (Authorization → Clearing → Settlement)
- Handle scheme certifications (Visa/Mastercard testing & compliance)
- Support chargeback, reconciliation, and dispute flows
- Perform SIT/UAT testing and production deployment support
- Troubleshoot transaction failures, reversals, and reconciliation breaks
Experience/ Skills Required
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- ACI Postilion (Postilion Realtime / Office)
- Experience in:
- Message formats (ISO 8583 fields & DEs)
- SQL queries for reconciliation/debugging
- APIs / host integrations
- Basic understanding of:
- Encryption & security (HSM, PIN blocks, keys)
- Domain & Process Skills
- Experience in:
- Chargeback lifecycle (Pre-arb, Arbitration)
- Reconciliation (GL vs Switch vs Network)
- Scheme rules (Visa / Mastercard)
Payments Domain
- Core Payments Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- ATM & POS transaction flows
- Acquiring vs Issuing
- ISO 8583 message structure
- EMV transactions & fallback scenarios
- Knowledge of:
- Interchange, MDR, and fee calculations
- Cross-border transactions & currency handling
Good to Have
- Experience with:
- Fraud systems integration
- Tokenization / digital payments
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication (Bank, Vendor, Scheme)
- Problem-solving in high-volume transaction environments
- Ability to handle production issues under SLA pressure
