In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
- Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- 15+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture & Engineering Expertise Proven experience designing and building distributed data pipelines, including both streaming and batch workflows, to support large-scale analytics and enterprise data needs.
- Enterprise Data Platforms - Deep hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouses architectures, along with the design and optimization, handling high-volume, complex datasets.
- Strong experience working in Teradata, GCP-Cloud transformation and implementation, well versed with BigQuery.
- Experience in cloud Migration from Teradata to GCP.
- Experience working with Abinitio, Informatica ETL Tools or equivalent, Teradata, Google BigQuery.
- Well versed with Data Warehousing methodologies, dimensional modelling, Tuning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Partner with Enterprise cloud platform, CI/CD pipelines, platform teams, architects, engineering managers and the developer community.
- Partner with the architects & data leaders in coming up with cloud migration path.
- Design and do POCs on cloud platforms for various use cases.
- Evaluate and share the progress on cloud transition on a regular periodic basis.
- Stay on top of the enterprise cloud strategy.
- Business & Strategy Alignment Strong understanding of business goals with the ability to translate strategy into long-term, scalable technical roadmaps that drive measurable outcomes.
- Engineering Excellence Demonstrated commitment to quality, security and reliability, with a focus on building resilient, maintainable, and compliant systems.
- Execution & Ownership Proven ability to own and deliver critical data initiatives end-to-end, from concept and architecture through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Data Modeling Skills Strong data modeling expertise supporting analytical, reporting, and insight-driven use cases at enterprise scale.
- Ability to define and enforce engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices across teams
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring engineers, driving design reviews, and influencing cross-team technical direction.
- Technical Leadership & Ownership - Serve as the highest-level hands-on technical leader for Consumer data teams, setting technical direction and standards.
- Strategic Thinking & Business Alignment Partner with Product, Engineering Management and Operations.
- Anticipate and resolve architectural and systemic issues.
- Act as a technical integrator across products, platforms across consumer data Teams
- Own end-to-end technical outcomes for complex, business-critical initiatives
- Execution Excellence Lead execution of high-risk initiatives.
- Break down complex problems into actionable technical plans Ensure disciplined execution while maintaining delivery velocity.
- Step in decisively during critical incidents or escalations.
- Communication & Influence Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Write high-quality design documents and technical proposals, Present technical strategy and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build trust through transparency, consistency, and strong follow-through.
