Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer will work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues in the implementation and support of Order Management & Order orchestration for various offerings at Telstra. What is the focus of the role?
Senior Java/Microservices Developer role is to design technical architecture solutions that span multiple Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Analytics, Social, Communities) and include integration and authentication across systems; manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale; articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for a technical architecture.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Java/Microservices Developer is responsible for leading solution definition, technical domain architecture and application development activities for Telstra across discovery, design, evolve and operations on Order Management & Order orchestration platforms.
They will be responsible for developing and coordinating solution & delivery aspects of all Telstra’s Salesforce CRM systems implementations, communicating effectively and fostering strong relationships with business users and stakeholders.
The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for ensuring all requests from the business are developed, architected and delivered in the most optimal way taking into consideration business roadmaps, Telstra IT Strategy, industry best practice, vendor roadmaps and thought leadership and innovation delivering a competitive advantage to Telstra.
About You
Qualifications
- Degree level IT qualifications in Software or Systems Engineering.
- 7-10 years’ hands on experience in developing spring boot applications, in-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, AWS Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices. Hands-on Experience in Designing/Building applications (preferably in Telecom Domain) using Java/Spring boot
- Hands-on experience in AWS ( SQS, Kinesis, IAM Roles and Policy)
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger standards, API versioning, and API lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and distributed systems.
- CI/CD Tools like Gitlab, .
- Collaborate with the Functional team to determine how best to implement solution
- Provide expert platform knowledge to the project team
- Expertise in Core Java/J2EE design patterns & Spring framework
- Strong knowledge of Microservice architecture & hands on experience developing microservices, Spring boot applications
- Ability to provide technical governance across CRM solutions at Telstra
- Ability to understand and design provisioning solutions at Telstra and how CRM interacts with provisioning layers.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills needed to support enterprise high availability Salesforce applications
- Coordinate with technical resource within and outside of Telstra
- Monitor process of software configuration/development/testing to assure quality deliverable.
- High coding standards and quality deliverables
- Provide training and educate other team members around core capabilities and helps them deliver high quality solutions and deliverables/documentation
- Self-Motivated to perform activities around design, evolve and deploy changes into production
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Vlocity C.P.Q & Order Management would be an added advantage
- Salesforce (CRM) & Apex knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Preferable to have AI enabled engineering, ability to build harness engineering around Agentic implementation.
- Hands of Understanding of CRM Product Model /Order Decomposition/ Order Orchestrator (preferably in telecom Domain)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
