Job Description

PTC is looking for a seasoned SME who has practical hands-on experience in Micro Services architecture for secured software integration, delivery and deployment on SaaS Platform, and is responsible for shifting Security to the left in entire software supply chain right from building to the deployment aiding reliability to the agility.

The candidate will be working as a part of a large multi-site team involved in design, implementation, performant, secured, agile, and reliable delivery and deployment of PTC’s flagship PLM suite, Windchill, on a SaaS platform. This position is based out of PTC’s Pune R&D facility.

Job responsibilities include:

• Develop and deploy highly secure software using micro services architecture in multiple environments.
• Work towards achieving 100% automation.
• Participate in Code Analysis/Review, bug fixing.
• Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the cross-functional team including multiple groups (viz. IT, Engineering) working on several different technologies
• Communicate effectively about the work done, rationale behind it and the impact on other parts of the product and trade-offs that have been made
• Help shape the DevOps vision and road map

Must Have Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information technology or equivalent software development experience.
• 6 -12 years of experience in server-side programming in Java.
• As part of a global team implement cloud native Micro Services architecture projects.
• Working knowledge on PLM software like Windchill will be added advantage.
• Proven working experience in languages like Java, Python and Python based framework like Flask, uWSGI web server.
• Proven working experience in Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, Redis and RabbitMQ services.
• Proven working experience in Azure cloud services like Azure batch, storage and AWS S3 storage.
• Working experience in implementing distributed applications, REST APIs, Swagger Documentation.
• Passionate about simple and clean code, unit testing and following standard coding practices.
• Exposure to have DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stack.
• Exposure on CI/CD pipeline and GIT version control.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and innovation capabilities.
