Job Summary
Synechron is seeking experienced VisionPlus Testers with strong CMS module expertise to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will plan, execute, and manage testing activities across VisionPlus-based applications, with a focus on CMS, API validation, and test automation. This role supports banking/card-processing environments and aims to ensure high-quality, reliable, and compliant solutions through thorough testing, collaboration with stakeholders, and contribution to continuous improvement.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
4+ years of hands-on VisionPlus experience, with a strong focus on the CMS module
Hands-on testing of VisionPlus modules (CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS)
API testing experience using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar
Test automation experience with Selenium, UFT, or equivalent frameworks
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
Proficiency with SQL and data validation practices
Experience using defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalents)
Ability to design, execute, and maintain end-to-end test cases and scripts
Experience participating in requirement analysis, test planning, and test execution
Preferred Skills
Banking/financial services domain experience
Familiarity with Agile testing practices
Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Java, Python, Shell)
Overall Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end testing activities for VisionPlus applications with emphasis on CMS and related modules
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks
Execute functional, integration, regression, SIT, and UAT testing; validate pre- and post-deployment readiness
Perform API testing and validation of integrations between VisionPlus and external systems
Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with development teams for timely resolution and retesting
Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test execution, ensuring alignment with business needs
Create and maintain test documentation, dashboards, and quality metrics for leadership reviews
Promote QA best practices, contribute to process improvements, and support audit/compliance readiness
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages (required and preferred)
Essential: SQL (data validation), basic scripting for test automation
Preferred: Java, Python, or Shell scripting for test automation and data preparation
Databases/Data Management
Essential: SQL, experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
Preferred: Data profiling, data quality checks, some NoSQL familiarity
Cloud Technologies
Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-hosted VisionPlus deployments or cloud-based test environments
Frameworks and Libraries
Essential: VisionPlus CMS testing approaches, API testing frameworks (Postman, Rest Assured)
Preferred: Additional test automation frameworks and REST/API testing libraries
Development Tools and Methodologies
Essential: JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM (defect tracking and test planning)
Preferred: Agile/Scrum practices, CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Security Protocols
Essential: Data privacy awareness, secure testing practices, audit readiness
Other
VisionPlus migration/upgrade testing experience is a plus
Knowledge of banking compliance and controls related to testing
Experience Requirements
4–12 years of hands-on VisionPlus testing experience, including CMS-focused work
Proven track record in API testing, test automation, and end-to-end testing within banking/credit card environments
Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, QA, Ops)
Alternative pathways: substantial VisionPlus CMS testing work in large-scale projects or relevant certifications in testing or banking technology
Day-to-Day Activities
Review requirements and design test strategies, plans, and cases for VisionPlus CMS
Create and execute manual and automated test scripts; perform regression and integration testing
Conduct API testing for CMS integrations; validate data flows and transaction processing
Log, track, and verify defects; coordinate with development teams for fixes and retesting
Participate in test planning, stand-ups, reviews, and test metrics reporting
Maintain test environments, data sets, and test data management practices
Provide knowledge transfer and support to junior testers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Certifications in software testing or banking technology are a plus (e.g., ISTQB)
