The Workday Administrator and Sr Lead will manage Workday operations, configure modules, lead support teams, and ensure compliance through robust security measures. This role involves project management and stakeholder collaboration to align HR systems with organizational goals.
This role as a Workday Administrator and Sr Lead at Astreya is a high-level opportunity that demands strong expertise in Workday administrative operations, implementation support, functional design expertise, and stakeholder management. Here’s a summary of the critical aspects of the role:
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- 12–15 years in HR services, with at least 9 years of Workday HR/Finance systems implementation experience.
- Extensive experience in configuring Workday modules, including Core HCM, Security, Integrations, and Reporting.
- In addition to Core HCM, strong working knowledge of Payroll, Talent, Leaves, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Performance, Time Tracking, and Absence.
- Workday Security Expertise:
- Design, configure, and maintain role-based and domain security policies ensuring appropriate access controls and data protection.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement improvements to strengthen compliance and mitigate risks.
- Manage segregation of duties (SoD), access reviews, and role provisioning in alignment with corporate IT security policies.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and Compliance teams to address audit findings and ensure SOX/GDPR compliance where applicable.
- Advanced Compensation & Performance Management:
- Configure and manage compensation cycles, bonus plans, merit increases, stock/equity grants, and advanced compensation packages.
- Drive the end-to-end compensation review process, ensuring alignment with global pay strategies and compliance with local policies.
- Configure and maintain performance management frameworks, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles, calibration, and succession planning.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to align compensation and performance programs with organizational strategies.
- Lead the Workday Support Team to manage day-to-day system support as well as Workday projects/initiatives, ensuring governance, best practices, and continuous improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and security issues promptly, working closely with stakeholders and vendors to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Lead configuration and implementation of various Workday modules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, and business stakeholders to align Workday solutions with organizational goals.
- Perform Workday configuration for enhancement and change requests across modules, including Security, Advanced Compensation, and Performance.
- Lead and coordinate all testing activities, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing.
- Actively participate in Workday product release cycles, regression testing, and adoption of new features.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR services and processes, with experience supporting and/or maintaining multiple HR systems.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, global implementations and multi-time-zone projects, ensuring smooth collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
- Strong project management, consulting, and leadership skills, with experience leading Executive Steering Committee presentations and providing updates on project progress, risks, and business impacts.
- Support sales/pre-sales teams by leveraging Workday expertise to contribute to RFPs, demos, and proposals for new opportunities.
- Maintain clear communication with global teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment in decision-making.
- Demonstrates a hands-on, problem-solving leadership style, actively engaging with teams to resolve challenges and ensure successful project delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Criteria:
- Must have Workday certification and deep experience configuring HCM and related modules like Payroll, Talent, Benefits, and Compensation.
- Workday certification is mandatory.
- End-to-end implementation experience in Workday HCM/Integration/Finance modules is required.
