Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to manage and advance the automation testing framework supporting complex enterprise applications. This role involves leading automation strategy, developing scalable test scripts, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring junior automation engineers. The ideal candidate will drive quality assurance initiatives, improve testing efficiency, and support continuous delivery in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
Programming Languages: Java, Python, or C# — extensive experience in scripting for automation and test support
Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, Citi Fast Framework — proven expertise in test automation framework development and execution
Version Control: Git, Bitbucket — experience managing source code and collaboration workflows
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions — supporting automated testing integrated into deployment pipelines
Test Framework Design: Experience in Page Object Model, Data-Driven, and Keyword-Driven frameworks supporting scalable, maintainable test automation
Databases: Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation support
Preferred Software Skills:
Performance Testing Tools: LoadRunner, JMeter — for load, stress, and volume testing support
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes — for environment consistency and deployment support
API Testing Tools: SoapUI, Postman — for validating API integrations and messaging flows
AI-based Testing Tools: Experience with AI tools supporting test automation and testing efficiency improvement
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive test automation frameworks supporting web, API, and application testing
Develop, execute, and optimize automated test suites to support continuous integration and delivery processes
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product managers to identify test cases, coverage, and automation strategies
Drive automation best practices, including reusability, maintainability, and modular design of test scripts
Support and improve existing automation frameworks, enhance testing efficiency, and reduce manual effort
Conduct automation code reviews, performance testing, and regression testing to ensure high quality and reliability
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback and deployment support
Troubleshoot automation failures, analyze root causes, and optimize scripts and frameworks accordingly
Document test strategies, frameworks, and procedures to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve automation maturity

Experience Requirements
6+ years of professional experience in test automation within enterprise environments
Proven leadership in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable testing frameworks supporting web and API testing
Extensive experience integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery cycles
Experience supporting regression, performance, load, and functional testing in regulated environments (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and collaborate across teams in fast-paced Agile settings
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts supporting web, API, and application layers
Execute automated test runs, analyze results, and report defects or performance issues
Collaborate with development, QA, and deployment teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards
Support CI/CD automation by integrating automated tests into pipelines and ensuring rapid feedback
Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and optimize test scripts for performance and reliability
Support regression, load, and volume testing to ensure system performance under varied conditions
Maintain detailed documentation of test frameworks, test cases, scripts, and results
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and regular reviews to ensure alignment and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience supporting test automation efforts for enterprise applications
Certifications in Test Automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium) or related tools are advantageous
Proven track record delivering automation solutions supporting continuous delivery pipelines in regulated environments
