Job Title: Sr. Platform Engineer
Location: Bangalore

Impact & contribution
Apply software engineering principles and practices in programming technologies and platforms to achieve business outcomes, while building out core technology and domain knowledge required to be effective.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Passion for designing, developing, deploying, and running high-quality software and platforms.
- Have experience in core AWS services like EC2, VPC, S3, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Lamda and with AWS Managed services - Amazon RDS, Dynamo DB and Redshift .
- Proficient in Linux and Bash scripting, or PowerShell to automate tasks, manage configurations and troubleshooting essential.
- Deep understanding and hands on experience on Cloud deployment using docker, github actions, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Cloudformation, yaml and other related technologies.
- Knowledge on Monitoring and Observability tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, AppDynamics to ensure proactive issue detection, monitoring, administration of these tools.
- Experience delivering scalable solutions on infrastructure as a code (IaC) using Terraform/AWS Cloud Formation.
- Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD tools like Github, GitHub, Jenkins TeamCity CI/CD pipeline, AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild to automate deployments.
- Vulnerability management – Has good understanding and knowledge of patching applications both on prem and on the cloud, certificates management, server administration.
- Infrastructure as a Code experience like Cloud formation or Terra form
- AWS certification is an added advantage.
- Experience and knowledge on Generative AI, Machine Learning are advantageous.
- Work with Engineers working in same and across squads to ensure the development process is completed on time, and to the engineering standards.
- Participate in key initiatives from the Technology team on innovative ways to improve capability, standards and risk profile of the platform.
- Co operate with other departments as required to perform assigned duties or reasonably assist other staff in performing their duties.
- At all times act in a courteous and professional manner and use best judgement to advance the interests of the company, its customers, and staff.
- Proficient in writing code and troubleshooting/analysing code.
Essential Skills
- Relevant experience of 8+ years
- Have a proven track record working in a public cloud environment; AWS would be preferred.
- Are passionate about Cloud/DevSecOps/Automation/Infrastructure as Code and possess a keen interest to solve complex problems in a systematic approach.
- Have strong communication skills and can interact with all levels of stakeholders confidently.
- As a matured Big Thinker, you’ll work closely with senior leaders on the strategic development practice
- Have expert experience in AWS Cloud, building SDKs for easy consumption, developer experience, lead the design, development, and implementation delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on deploying applications to multiple environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. You will be required to analyse technical issues involving multiple system components with complex relationships
- Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills to ensure you can effectively share ideas and solutions with your team
- Work closely with Product owners, other Senior engineers and various stakeholders to enable our Cloud and AI journey.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
