Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure, deployment processes, monitoring platforms, and automation for distributed systems. The role improves reliability, performance, observability, and operational efficiency through Linux administration, scripting, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools. The engineer collaborates with internal teams to resolve technical challenges, safely deploy software, and drive continuous improvement.

A 12-week, part-time technical training program for individuals without prior technical experience. Learners develop foundational skills in Linux, networking, web applications, databases, Python, and IT security through Pluralsight coursework. Successful graduates may be considered for an Akamai apprenticeship or future entry-level roles. Participants must commit approximately 10 flexible hours weekly, communicate effectively, collaborate well, learn independently, and be proficient in English.

Supports channel partners throughout the sales process by enabling them to market, sell, implement, and support Akamai solutions. Conducts technical training and enablement workshops, develops partner-specific plans, collaborates with channel sales, leads partner reviews, demonstrates solution value, and helps close sales. Mentors partner sales, presales, and architecture teams while advocating partner needs internally.

Build, validate, and release software for ARM-based platforms. Develop Python and Shell automation, improve CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot Linux and architecture-specific failures, and investigate root causes using debugging and system tools. Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on build systems, cross-compilation, security controls, REST APIs, microservices, and database testing.

Build and maintain test automation frameworks for cloud microservices and deployments. Ensure highly available, scalable, secure, performant distributed systems through functional and non-functional testing. Develop organized, efficient code in Python or Go, improve internal processes, and test containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and related cloud technologies in an agile environment.

Build and improve reliable, scalable distributed content delivery systems. Define SLIs and SLOs, enhance monitoring and alerting, analyze performance data, resolve complex incidents, automate operational tasks, and participate in architecture reviews. The role requires scripting, Oracle SQL analysis, Unix/Linux expertise, and experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ADBMS, and Datadog. Collaboration with product and cross-functional teams is central to ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.

Designs and maintains automated testing frameworks for API-based security and threat protection products. Develops test strategies, executes tests, improves coverage, evaluates testing tools, and collaborates with engineering teams on code, design, test plans, and automation frameworks in an Agile environment. Supports releases, testing process improvements, customer installations, and product demonstrations.

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated system tests for large-scale distributed systems. Create real-world test scenarios, improve automation methodologies, review system requirements and test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role also includes mentoring less experienced engineers and evaluating testing infrastructure technologies.

Provides technical support for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation and Zero Trust cybersecurity products. Investigates and resolves complex B2B customer issues, owns problem resolution, collaborates with internal teams, analyzes recurring technical problems, and proposes preventive solutions. Requires knowledge of Linux, networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, and basic scripting.

Lead and grow Akamai's channel partner ecosystem in India by defining strategy, recruiting and enabling partners, managing partner relationships and revenue execution across security, delivery and compute solutions. Manage a team, drive channel marketing and enablement, resolve channel conflicts, ensure service delivery and billing, and meet new customer and product sales targets.
