The Java Dev Lead will design and improve software solutions, oversee development teams, ensure code quality, and collaborate across functions to meet business objectives.

Oversee financial aspects of trading: reconcile daily P&L to trading book, investigate discrepancies, maintain trading data integrity, assess and report trading risks, prepare regulatory reports, support audits, and communicate insights to traders, risk teams and senior stakeholders. Lead or supervise team activities, drive continuous improvement, embed controls and policies, and partner across functions to ensure compliant, accurate reporting and strong risk management.

Review and investigate sanctions alerts for customers and payments, determine true matches under OFAC/OFSI/EU/UN rules, analyse SWIFT messages, escalate as required, lead/guide complex investigations, and drive process improvements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate financial crime risk.

Lead data-led process optimisation and capacity-creation initiatives for PBWM operations. Design and deploy analytics, dashboards and automation (RPA/AI) to improve performance, mitigate risk, and influence senior stakeholders. Manage or guide teams, drive change, and ensure governance and controls across operational processes.

Design, develop, and execute test plans and automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, perform root cause analysis, integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improve testing processes and quality standards.

The TM Analyst supports Transaction Monitoring by reviewing, investigating suspicious activities, executing checks for compliance, and collaborating with teams to enhance procedures.

Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes; optimize performance and data quality; collaborate with data scientists to deploy ML models; lead and supervise team members and embed controls and policies.

Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure software (primarily Java/Spring microservices) on Kubernetes/AWS. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers; follow CI/CD, unit testing, observability and secure coding practices; support production distributed systems and performance tuning.
